Perfection
The children were playing really nicely this morning, it was almost a shame to make them stop for breakfast, but I did. Then we headed to town and the market.
We managed to finally get Carys a needle small enough to go through the holes of the binka in her cross stitch kit, but with an eye big enough to take the embroidery thread. The plastic one that came with the set wouldn't fit through the holes! After we had picked up a parcel we went to the bookshop where W spent the rest of his Easter money (and a bit of Mummy's) on a story book for our holiday and a vehicle I Spy book, promising to let Carys help him with it. Carys had more money to spend plus the same amount of Mummy's, so bought three books. The Dick King Smith 'Sophie' book is a three in one bargain and the other two were buy one get one half price, so I couldn't really argue. They have been put away for France or else she will have finished them before we leave!
After a drink and a twizzle each, we bought our fruit from the market and headed home.
We met N&P for lunch which was an unplanned nice surprise, then W stayed for his afternoon with N&P and I took Carys to Pots of Art, something I have promised to do with her for sometime.
She loved it. To say she is a perfectionist is probably an understatement. But three hours later, two cups of tea and two cups of squash later the dolphin trinket box was ready for the kiln. Quite good value for £12 total. I have an inkling we will be going back as C has already worked she still has some birthday money left.
