A Nightmare On Hermitage Lane, Aylesford

After yesterday's jaw dropping press conference between Trump, Vance and Zelensky I just couldn't stop thinking about it. It was not a "row" as some in the media seemed to want to call it but a full on bullying of a democratically elected leader of a European country. Zelensky did not, for the most part, lose his temper despite the upmost provocation and stated his case perfectly and with rigour. I think a lot of the media, and I include the BBC in this, have too easily fallen into the "neutral" way of reporting things rather than condemning the falsehoods perpetrated by Trump and his toadying underling Vance. One of my favourite quotes from the esteemed journalist Christiane Amanpour is "our job is not to be neutral but to tell the truth". The fightback and pushback against Trump has hardly been reported by the BBC at all yet it is real and it is happening but you wouldn't know from their broadcasts.
Today's image is my weird way (I found this detritus on the road of the title) of trying to represent the nightmare that is going on - I'll leave it to your imagination of what they represent!
