Post-Brushing

Last night we sat up until 2 AM, watching the Rugby League from Las Vegas. It was amazing! The Allegiant stadium where it took place was fantastic. Wigan's match against Warrington was really good. We were dominant to start with - Wigan always rise to a big occasion and this was certainly that, even though it was only two Super League points at stake. They had said that they were there to entertain and not just win the game, and they did so with eight different try scorers getting on the score -sheet. I was disappointed that they relaxed in the second half and conceded 24 points though... Now I just hope there's no jetlag for next week - it should be OK as they don't play until Sunday.  

We have watched all the other games too - Canberra Raiders beat N.Z Warriors 30 - 8, The England Lionesses played the Aussie Jillaroos and were handed the same sort of drubbing they annually give to Wales, losing 90 - 4. And finally Penrith Panthers beat Cronulla Sharks 28 - 22 in a close, well contested game. 

We recorded some of the action to watch this morning rather than sit up virtually all night. We weren't up too early even so, and we have not really been anywhere either. I did give Minstrel his weekly groom though, and took lots of loose fur off him prior to his monthly flea-drops which will be administered later.  I took this straight after I finished brushing him! There are still a few loose hairs on him...
