Nurture

After two days of setting up the nurture room, now called The Jungle Room (?! Why?!) we finally got some kids in this afternoon.  I thought we were going for a full afternoon session….but no!  We did small group ‘meet and greet’ sessions!  What a palaver, waste of time and way to turn the kids off!  But….I’m not in charge :) Blip is a game that was played which was quite good, so I took a photo to try to remind me to buy/source it for Positive Play.

It’s been a long week and today I have run around like my bottom was on fire.  Juggling 1:1 TAing with Midday Supervising, with setting up and teaching art, with setting up and teaching a very large spelling group 3x week, with Positive Play training alongside setting up the space every time it is used and then packing it all away again and now nurture training and setting up, I am being run ragged.  Today I managed a sit down of exactly 7 minutes to eat my sandwiches!  Hopefully, when I am in charge of these initiatives and not running to another persons tune, it will settle down a bit.  Bearing in mind my pay ends at 3.35pm, I have left school this week twice at 6pm and once at 5pm.  It was only taking The Hound to the vets that meant I left on time on Tuesday.  If it doesn’t settle soon, something will have to give.
