A day of travel west, then east

We had to head west today. Another funeral for another uncle.
Also, it was early in the day and with our previous encounters with traffic decided to leave at 7am.
We did hit Port Glasgow for about 8:30, so made good time on this occasion. We managed to miss the Bypass drudgery with the avg speed round there being 50mph. On a bad congestive day, you may be lucky to hit 20mph where the traffic is really bad.
Also, Glasgow has it's own sets of works currently, which don't appear to be improving, despite being on-going for many months, if not years.

Everything went well with the funeral and the gathering afterwards was nice as there were some stories said.

We headed home when we could and made a pit stop at other relatives while we were west. This broke up the day a wee bit before getting back in the car and heading home.

It didn't feel like it was a longer journey home, but the car's summary of the day seems to disagree with that analysis. I did stop at Heartlands for a coffee - as by that point in the day my eyes were nearly crossed.

Home, dinnner and early bed for me.
