Field view (Day 3582)

After the morning wander with Sigyn, and getting myself organised, I spent a while sorting out junk in the garage and loading the truck with stuff to go to the dump. Surprisingly there was no queue at the dump, and even more surprisingly it hadn't been closed because it was full.
Back home for coffee and a sit on the couch with Sigyn, then out for a wander at Lyde. Despite being a bit wobbly in her back end now she is thirteen, Sigyn showed off her hunting skills by following the scent of a pheasant across a burn and a fair distance through deep heather. She flushed it out of its hiding spot and chased after it as it struggled to gain altitude. She returned to me remarkably pleased with herself. Still life in the old dog yet.
After lunch at home I headed across to the horses and distributed scratches and hay, and dropped in to see Mum on my way home.
I had been expecting my beautiful wife to be back home from South this evening, but apparently the ferry can't stay still enough to get vehicles loaded so she has to stay another night south.
