One day I'll fly away

It 's surprising what you find lurking in the garden. I emptied out a plant to put in the raised bed and was horrified to see not just one but two ugly grey slugs hiding there. These were quickly disposed of.
On a nicer note this moth was also there almost unnoticed as it was quite camouflaged. I think it is a Small square spot. Anywhere South of Scotland will see it produce two broods but here in Scotland it breeds just the once in July or August. It is fond of Bramble, Heathers and ragwort and attracted to sugar and light. I may but out a small blob of sugar tonight to see what I can attract. It over winters in the form of a larva and will feed on dock, dandelion and heather. So no wonder it's quite common in Scotland.
The weather has been ok today abit more cloud cover and cooler.
