Chalanda Marz

The traditional spring festival is celebrated in Romansh- and Italian-speaking parts of the canton of Grisons on the first of march and marks the end of winter. The schoolchildren go around, ring bells and sing. Our grandson had a bell too and liked to ring it vehemently.
