Joe Tree Day
This is the first time I've done a blip for Joe Tree Day. Thank you, Joe Tree, for this fabulous site that has opened our eyes to the beauty of the planet and given us a glimpse into the lives of people thousands of miles away, so different from ours. G took this picture on Wednesday on her way back from Khor Fakkan. I think she took it more for the camels than the trees.
The day began early with me getting the flat ready for the bedroom a/c's to be serviced. I had organised this as recently as Thursday. I'm glad I messaged the team as it emerged that they were not coming until Monday. Argh!
Long story short, we didn't waste the morning and went out, first to get an eye test done for G to renew her driver's licence. We then met up with an ex-colleague of G to drop off a trolley full of books and some clothes. The lady treated us to a coffee and eclairs at her local Katrina branch. I've heard about Katrina, but today was the first time I'd been in one. It is amazing. I'd love to see one open in One Central.
We went on to Festival City before coming home to a much-needed quiet day. I have to admit I needed a nap.
