Parkgate

It should have been high tide at Parkgate today, when the marshes are covered with water, rodents rush on to the prom to save themselves from drowning, birds of prey feast on the rodents, birders tick off all the birds they've seen and photographers try to get amazing pictures of birds in flight with rats in their beaks. Alas, no wind, no high tide, no rats and no birds with a tasty lunch. Just lots of people with flasks of tea, packs of sandwiches, binoculars and long lenses.
