The Old Man of Coniston

We woke to a frosty morning, so drove down to Coniston, where we managed The old Man of Coniston, Brim Fell and Swirl How. Good job we had our spikes with us, as the route up was really icy (we saw quite a few turn back) and the descent off Swirl how would have been a nightmare without the right equipment.

A 10 mile walk that - in those conditions - felt more like 20.
