Went to visit the artist whose opening we went to in Canberra last week. On the way to her gallery and studio K showed me a community project that Pamela Irving (https://www.pamelairving.com.au/) made happen over a decade ago go - lots of portraits made by many different people situated under the railway station. Then cake, coffee and so much interesting conversation with her and she showed us the courtyard behind her gallery (see extras). Everywhere you looked there was more to see. So pleased we got to catch up with Pamela again. Then caught a train back into the centre, went to see a graffiti exhibition then back to the hotel for food. I headed out again to the State library, a wonderful building and there was a fascinating exhibition of printing and books. Was particularly taken by Edward Gorey’s The Tunnel of Calamity (https://www.goreyography.com/west/articles/tunnelpom.html). Did some more wandering and later we went out for a meal by the river. A very rich day.
