My woman with the red shopping trolley was ahead on the way to the farmers market, but slower on the return trip. I lay in wait.

It’s Mardi Gras tonight, the parade broadcast live. Mid-afternoon I encountered goth girls, older men in flowery 60s culottes and lots of flesh, sequins and glitter. The whole thing roars into life at 7 with Dykes on Bikes (their official name).
