Garden covered

We pushed ourselves to finish the garden cleanup today. It took about 3 hours, but it was another gorgeous day for being outside.
Today we finished cutting down dead plants and moving everything portable out of the garden. We then covered everything with black plastic sheeting and then put all the moveable pieces (rocks, flower pots, pieces of old lumber) on top of the black plastic to keep it from blowing away.
We will leave the plastic on until at least the end of April. The sun will heat up the ground underneath the plastic and kill the weeds. It’s an amazing process and it works!
