Cold Temperatures and Hot Tempers

The indoor temperature was 13C when I got up this morning. I didn’t want to get out of my warm bed! My friend Alison popped over with an electric throw so that I could be warm when sitting around - such a kind thought. I drove over to Sainsbury’s for the grocery shopping with the car heater on full blast and was sweating by the time I arrived there. I don’t know what the variety of tulip in my blip is called, but it was the only photo I took today - another supermarket “steal” :D

I have no idea where the first part of the afternoon went, but just after 4.30pm Christine called to see if I wanted to go round for a shower, which I did. I’m getting so used to being cold that I was absolutely sweltering sitting in their centrally heated lounge with a mug of tea! I got home and switched the tv on to be greeted with the horrific sight and sound of Ukraine’s President Zelensky being bullied by the US President and Vice President. What nasty pieces of work they both are - a disgrace to the highest offices in the Western world. Putin must be absolutely delighted over in Russia. I’m convinced he’s got something highly incriminating on Trump that gives him some kind of hold - why else would Trump be fawning over Putin and playing into his hands?

Cosy under the warm electric throw, I fell asleep on the sofa around 10pm and woke a couple of hours later to get into bed. Goodnight…
