A bit of experimenting
Early this morning while waiting for my computer guy to call I decided to take a flower Friday photo. I knew husband and I would spend the rest of the day doing garden clean up in the courtyard. No fresh flowers in the house and none blooming outside so I grabbed an orchid from upstairs. I thought it would be a good time to use the speed light again and it hooked up first try and I was able to adjust the light strength from the remote trigger, all good. Then I decided to try a in camera double exposure for the first time. I wasn't to happy with two shots of the same flower so tried holding a crystal up at the edge of the camera lens for the second shot and liked it better. I didn't do anything in post but a crop and brightened the front flower just a little bit. It was a fun exercise and the computer is now running another 8 Tb back up drive that I will swap out with the one I had every other month, and bit defender for virus protection. The courtyard is nicely cleaned up and the sun is shining, and husband and I are planning a Friday night glass of wine on the back deck.
