Now Wash Your Hands
Today we took Hollie to the vets, and left her while she was sedated before having a series of x-rays on her poorly leg.
We had to pass the time for a few hours so we went to a roadside cafe for breakfast. Full English. Yum.
I asked to 'Use the facilities'
This was how one was expected to flush the toilet. Yum. There was no hand-wash. The hand drier didn't work.
I snuck into the ladies and used the paper towels in there.
Then we went and did some shopping. I bought a new pair of slippers, Mrs I brought bread and washing up liquid. The excitement was palpable.
Then we returned to.collect a very sleepy Hollie and discuss the x-rays.
We now await the recommendation of the specialist vet who has to decide if any further treatment is necessary.
And all this happened in Wales.
Because our vet in Shropshire wanted £65 for the consultation, and £600 for the x'rays.
Wow.
The vet in Wales, who we have previously registered with, wanted £270 for consultation and x-rays.
Worth getting up early for, don't you think...
