Reading Room - The British Museum

We traveled by bus/train/bus to meet a friend here this afternoon. I had not been here for many years. I was impressed all over again by this erudite space and the highlight exhibits: Rosetta Stone, Parthenon Marbles, Sutton Hoo burial hoard and of course The Lewis Chess pieces! Some schools were on half term. Sadly many young visitors seemed unimpressed by the exhibits. One day they will return and marvel as we did today.
