Autumn tree in spring...
It was a beautiful sunny day again today, but not quite warm enough to feel like spring.
I had bedding to change and a few loads of laundry to do, then I went grocery shopping to get some food for the weekend before I took Xena for her walk. She is very patient and never minds waiting for a walk. After the walk I had to prepare the minutes from our camera club meeting last night but they are all done and distributed.
I am so pleased that the Photography Show is in London this year, because for as long as I can remember it has always been in Birmingham which is just a bit too far for a day trip for me. In future it is alternating between Birmingham and London so at least I can go every second year. I have booked a ticket and spent today planning which events I want to go to and what I want to see. Quite a few members of our camera club are also going and we would like to meet up for a coffee or lunch but there are so many talks and demonstrations on that I wish to attend that I am not sure I will have time to meet up, haha!
Tonight Luke, Meriel and Inca will be here for supper and they are staying over as tomorrow morning they are flying to Seville for the weekend, where they are meeting up with Tommy. As it's a very early flight from Gatwick it is more convenient if they stay here as we are not that far from Gatwick (we are convenient to both Gatwick and Heathrow).I am sure they will have a lovely weekend together.
Gavin and I are going to Norfolk tomorrow morning. We have a busy weekend ahead of us as we have to de-personalise the house as we have decided to rent it out with a holiday letting agency. Tommy and Adam used to often stay there but now that they are both living abroad that doesn't happen. We find we are also so busy on weekends that we cannot get there as often as we would like either, so this seemed like a sensible option. It is beautifully furnished and I do worry about the wear and tear from people renting it, but it is with an upmarket agency so hopefully it will be rented by people who respect other people's property.
I was squirming with embarrassment watching the news last night on TV and seeing Keir Starmer cosy up to Trump, patting him on the arm and grinning like they are besties....jeez. I very much doubt KS will still be in power at our next election.
I did photograph some blossoms that have started to appear but I preferred the light on this tree.
