Noble Rot

Colder sunnier brighter. After a night when I did not sleep at all. Literally.  I am still jet lagged I think and i just never got sleepy. I went up to London on the same train as Vik who was going to have lunch with Françoise whilst I went to Noble Rot in Soho to meet my friend Greg who runs the main post house in Belfast, I hope we’ll be going back there with the new show as we’ll be filming in Belfast this time.  It was a short lunch as he was squeezing me in between appointments but it was lovely to see him and catch up.

I love Noble Rot, the wine is obviously always superb but so is the food and we ate from the always perfect set lunch menu.  These parody book covers were up by the loos.  Funny and beautifully crafted.

After he whizzed off I went and bought Jono a birthday present of some rather fine truffles before meeting V at the station to go back to Peef.

We went with Jono and Sue to see a production of Girl on the Train at the Chichester Festival Theatre. I couldn’t quite see the point of it having read the book although it was imaginatively staged the lead wasn’t quite good enough   Still, not exactly taxing.

Glad to be home and hoping for a better night, that was a long time to be awake.
