Hay field sunset.
The WTN/AJ and I drove past a circular bale filled hay field today. Once I realized that the sun would set behind said field it was my goal to get a gorgeous-sunset-hay-field-blip. While not completely disappointed, the gloomy clouds of far off storms sucked the life from the setting sun.
So I took a few lemons and made lemonade with CS6. This image is a compilation of two photos (one sets the tone for the field, the other for the sky). They were merged and then "oil painted." I liked the sky so much from the original that I masked it off and removed the oil paint effect. The dark, featureless trees, I think, provide a nice break point between the two.
