The Barnton Hotel

After yesterday's miserable bus blip I thought I would see what else I can capture on my journey home.
The Barnton Hotel here has been derelict for quite a few years now. I remember this from my youth, probably because it is so striking. There were plans for a development to start in 2005, which would have retained parts of the hotel, but this has clearly not happened. It is such a shame for this lovely building to be left like this.
This is a fairly straight on shot and one slightly from the side may have been better. The bus was moving though and the fun for a few of my upcoming blips is going to be to time it right. Could be interesting, or not :-)
