Recession

A wet day, which must surely have washed some of the snow away. I found shapes amongst the receding ice and snow piles, as the land beneath  had become visible once again.

I liked this arrangement of rocks and ice. The sloping lines and triangles make a dynamic composition. Later, I noticed the thin white line on the edge of deep shadow, like a wisp of smoke.. The ice surface had turned crinkly.
