Mrs Mallard

After a busy and very classroom-based day at work I decided to drop in to see how the ducks are doing on thier lead-up to spring.

It seems there's planty of love in the duck air - a little jealousy maybe too judging by some of the Mr Mallard squabbles that were going on. There was even a bit of intrigue when I spotted a rustling in the grass then saw a water vole (or was it a rat?!) sprint across the flood debris and swim furiously to the other side.

Anyway - in brief, all seems in good order and on track to welcome another bunch of cute wee ducklings over the next few months :)
