A fine feathered friend

A trip to Castle Howard this afternoon for a walk. The cold wind was a bit much for Richard who soon headed for shelter. I had a quick walk up to the Temple of the Four Winds and back. 

As I returned to the car a male Peacock was strutting about. Just liked his tail feathers even though he was not prepared to show them off in a display.

Back home prepared a beef casserole, lemon drizzle cake, flapjack and apple and blackberry pudding to ensure no one starves over the weekend.
