Towpath flooded at Richmond

After a swim this morning I met friends for a bike ride this afternoon. Lovely to have some sun but….our plan was to cycle from Teddington Lock to Kew along the towpath. However with all the rain in the last few days we found the towpath flooded at Petersham by Ham House so we had to divert and then again at Richmond as shown in the photo, just opposite The Poppy Factory. So we had a much longer coffee  and cake stop at the Holyhock. Cafe on Richmond Hill and I came home on the road!
Off to see the screening of ‘ The Importance of being Ernest’ tonight.
