The Renshaws

In the office this morning for meetings and to return some equipment to the stores.

After the meeting I had a visit to make and stopped off here to eat my lunch.  I've photographed this area before, particularly this track, but I was more restricted than in the past with a locked gate preventing me from getting down the track where there are some pleasing compositions.  Instead I stitched a couple of images together and used the 6 by 17 ratio crop which was the standard for the medium format panoramic film cameras.

I think this crop is pleasing on the eye, because we tend to take in a scene along the horizontal plane, rather than the vertical.
