The longer way home then!

We moan when the roads are bad and we moan when they are repairing them but in this case a water pipe is being replaced with a bright blue plastic one.

The Extra, as I got home a flock of Californian Quail were out on the road these were introduced to NZ to be hunted but have become established. The first time I have seen them outside the house on the road though.

A reasonable day the guests went kayaking at Kaiteri where it was a bit overcast in the afternoon.
