Blasted Oak

Today's the day ....................... to tell a tale

Of course, I don't know if it is an oak tree - or indeed a blasted one - because it's quite a long way off as you drive along the A75 on your way to Dumfries.  

It is very striking though, standing on its own on the top of a little hillock - and often silhouetted against the sky.  It makes you wonder if it has a story to tell?
