'An Uncomfortable Marriage?'

RBS revamped two properties at the West End of Edinburgh’s Princes Street in the late 1970s. 

The original facade was tacked onto the front of an anonymous modern plate-glass building.

Now RBS’s West End Branch, it's an interesting and bold attempt to retain original features that has been controversial (and often rather more than that!) ever since!
