Beside Manuka Road

A quiet day reading on my Kindle. Also reading a couple of journal papers. One was a review which suggested that micro-doses of lithium appear to prevent dementia, and/or modify the progress of Alzheimers. I wonder if the review was sponsored by a French pharmaceutical company which has developed a new method of producing lithium to take. If so, can we be sure that the results are valid?

On my walk this afternoon, I saw this plant and its flowers, beside the road. Not sure what it is.
