A new view
The day started well with a dry, sunny walk down the track to Kildavie but today there was no sign of the islands to the north as the visibility was poor in that direction. Later, we had a very sociable visit to the community cafe and library in the village hall. This is run by volunteers and is going from strength to strength.
Fortified by a cup of tea, Nick, with the help of neighbour John, moved our satellite dish higher on the gable end of the house to make enough space for the solar panels that we are going to have fitted very soon. I was a bit concerned that we might lose our tv reception but I should have had more faith in the skill of the two lads as I think it is even better than it was before.
We took Bertie for his afternoon walk down a track that I have been along on many occasions, but today was different because the thick conifer plantation on either side had been felled and the timber removed last year. This has opened up a clear view up Glen Bellart which looked good in the late afternoon sunshine.
