Tulips in a glug jug - with bonus Moomin

These are the lovely tulips that Melissa brought to our Northumbrian book group dinner last night.

We enjoyed a slow start to the day with a laid-back breakfast with Winsford and LauraMuir. After they left, I planned our evening menus for March and wrote a shopping list. Then Mr hazelh and I headed for LIDL for our (delayed) Monday supermarket shop.

Groceries stored, it was time for a run. This was my first in over a month due to my recent operation. It was very hard-going, but cheered up with a wave from meles on her way home along the cycle path after attending a funeral.

After lunch, I dedicated myself to personal and work admin, with a break towards the end of the afternoon to watch and video a fox happily snacking (on bugs?) in the daylight right outside our bedroom window. 

Our supper was last night's left-overs (not as many as anticipated). Then we watched last night's quizzes. I think that I won the household heat of University challenge.

Exercise today: 40 minutes on the exercise bike; 5k run; 10,216 steps including run.
