Flying back home

Usually I’m happy to go home again after a week of being in the Netherlands. But now with my mom in the hospital and the political turmoil in the US, I dreaded getting on the plane this morning.
I was able to move from my isle seat in the middle row to 2 free seats in a row near the window, so it was nice to have the extra space. Too bad though KLM used an older plane for this flight and the armrest could not move up.
