Hellebores.

As it was sunny this morning, the washing was hung out first thing and then we went off for our circular walk. I took the photo as we passed the Golf Course club house garden.
Our usual coffee stop at the Farmhouse Bistro before walking back to where we had parked the car.
I could hear a blackbird singing.
I heard one the other day. It is such a beautiful sound that heralds Spring’s arrival.
Our garden robin has been singing away most of the day and deters any other robins who happen to encroach on what he considers his patch!
This afternoon after lunch I have finished pruning my roses and we have generally been giving the borders a tidy up.
Stephen has just mulched the newly pruned bushes and I will give them a good “feed” around their bases by the end of the week.
It’s been a relief to have this particular job finished, now I am counting down the days to going in for my operation next week.
I have an appointment tomorrow morning at the hospital for some final imaging before surgery.
Currently I am sitting in the summerhouse having had a mug of tea with Stephen, and a biscuit.
Looking forward to going to our favourite place, Mullion, on the Lizard peninsula, once more in late June, and being able to walk without pain!
The sign in the summerhouse, which points due South, a lovely reminder.
Photo in extra.
