Steaming

Not an outdoor sort of day, and this is the only photo I took! Steaming soup (lentil, caraway, and coriander, from the freezer) jazzed up a bit with a swirl of yoghurt and some chopped mint, a tasty, warming lunch.

We walked into Holmfirth in the evening to see James playing with Soul Pie (one of the many bands he plays with) at the Postcard. A good evening, though the singer was a bit 'shouty' and, as often seems to be the case with pub gigs, the band was too loud for a confined space. (Too crowded, and not the best lighting for photos, hence the soupy Blip!)

It was a dry clear evening and it was lovely to look up at a starry sky - a rare occurrence in these parts - as we walked back home.
