The kingmaker's castle

Slightly obsessed with 'The White Queen', so we loved spending the day at Warwick Castle.

Jousting, history lessons, and a bit of queuing (apparently other people had the same idea for this fine sunny Saturday in the summer).

Then to the RSC for 'As You Like It'. Everything they put on seems to be the best it can possibly be: great staging, costumes, music.

But for me the thrill was just the feeling of closeness to the actors, who put the whole thing over with brilliant energy and wit.
