Regrowth

The day was spent working away at.....work. There and here. I noticed from the bus that a man seemed to be abseiling off the cupola at Quayside Mills but wasn't close enough to get a shot of him. I suppose it could have been a Fringe performance...

The cycad that lives on the windowsill grows extremely slowly (two new leaves per year, maximum), and this years new leaves withered away and went brown in a way that suggested a terminal condition. It's been sitting there for several months doing nothing at all, but now two new shoots have appeared - hurray! I didn't realise till I looked at the wiki entry how very poisonous it is - strange that it should also be known as the sago palm.
