Our plans today were a bit disrupted. Our son and I had decided to get up sharp to head down the coast to see the Red Arrows passing over East Lothian and in particular North Berwick on their way to Lossiemouth. We were about to set off when I looked online and saw they the timetable had changed to after lunch.
We regrouped. I did lots of emails and papers. Then took him for a medical appointment which ran over, leaving us just enough time to get to a viewing point. We were on time but the Red Arrows were not. Or took a different route.
While we were waiting we got some lovely views of the countryside and this one showed some targeted sun rays.
The wind was very “fresh” but it was still pleasant so we ended up walking the dogs on North Berwick beach.
Back home I did some gardening and planted a new rose. Then after an early dinner out for a meeting (or two) at church. Home and caught up with the 10 o’clock news on iPlayer to be reminded of all the 3 years of war in Ukraine. Oh that these citizens could enjoy the type of day I had. (Well, perhaps without the meetings!)
