One wonderful benefit of living in Barcelona is that everything is always on your doorstep no matter in what barrio you live!

The great Roberta Flack passed away today. I have a particular connection to Killing Me Softly With Your Song as I not only love it but requested it one late night in the famous jazz club in Le Méridien Hotel in Port Maillot, Paris, where I stayed for a year. The enchanting female singer came over to my table and said into her mike, ‘This one’s for Alan!’ And, boy, did it seem that I was the only person in the room!
