Pittenweem Wynd

In the East Neuk of Fife, many villages have "wynds" which are narrow steep passages between the shore and the higher part of the village. This is School Wynd in Pittenweem. This high contrast subject was difficult because of the very bright sky and sunlit walls together with the dark shaded passage. The photo is an experiment with luminosity masking to combine the best bits of two separate exposures.
