The Bookshelves Railroad

…is taking shape in my room.

My aims are to have a few metres of reach for my trains, to use as much of my long-stored materials as possible, to prefer wide arches of bends, to alter as little as possible of the room (as a classical model railway layout would afford), and to have fun at the fullest.

Power lines are not yet installed, and the passenger coach visible is for testing only.

The almost 60 years old Faller signalbox has been altered slightly, to mask the clamp holding the embankment in place on the shelf.
