Shifting Visions

Just like a couple of weeks ago, nobody was in the mood for any post-work social, so I decided to look at the other side of the Here We Glow winter light festival at Shepherd's Bush Westfield. Mainly, I walked through Adam Povey's Shifting Visions, which are 40 three-sided totem poles with lights and mirrors. The installation reused lighting elements from other works, so it's quite sustainable, and it is interesting to be in the middle of the shifting colours. It's a shame the weather wasn't warmer, so I could have spent more time.

On the train back from Shepherd's Bush, a spontaneous message from PY:

Are you on your way home? Fancy a drink in Mora Meza?

I dropped my bag at home and walked to the restaurant just as he arrived. We planned on having a drink but, in the end, had a sharing platter, which was enough for our dinner. It was busier inside than on our past few visits, but the welcome was as warm as ever, even if I mistakenly sat near the door and got the draught whenever anybody came or went.
