Packed bags

Got up very early to make supper for tonight as we have much-loved guests.

And at dawn joined 2 others for a Norfolk and Suffolk jaunt. EmCoops swimming challenge this year is to swim outdoors in every English county. I’m more than happy to tag along when I can.

Our first swim was in Lynford Water - an unsupervised clear water swimming lake, with dog walkers all around and a few swans swimming too. It was obviously silly cold but wonderful to be somewhere new and beautiful.

Then we drove on to Gainsborough county, Suffolk, and swam in the lido at the Great Cornard Leisure Centre. It wasn’t busy and we swam gently for an hour, chinwagging and hand standing every now and then.

2 more counties conquered, we set off back home. I was in time, just, to wave Elbows off to the airport and gather supper in readiness for LongLegs and IrishLass’s arrival for supper. A lovely evening.

(Both EmCoops and I have new swim kit bags. Mine was a birthday present. They’ll both look used and worn soon.)
