A New Nest
I woke up this morning at 7:01 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up...snuck out the door...and hit the shore.
In our area, there are only 2 bridges that take you out to the big water...the GULF OF MEXICO! On the road I chose, I always glance to the left where there are 4 dead trees, hoping to see some birdies on them. WOO-HOO! A new nest!
I could be wrong, but I think it is the same couple that I have snapped for the last couple of years. Their man-made metal nest looks like it was lost in the hurricanes, so I think they picked out one of the dead trees for their new home. It was nice to see them, and the bright blue skies didn't hurt either.
Later, we went to church, out to lunch with Steve and Cindy, and then to a thrift store. I bought 2 shirts and also a couple of t-shirts for grandson Merrick.
75F and sunny today. Beautiful.
Tomorrow, we have to deal with key fobs for our van. When I was at the shore yesterday, I got out of my van, and it automatically started itself back up, I turned it off, walked 20 feet away...and it started itself again. Then, at church this morning it started the warning system all by itself, and I didn't think I was going to be able to turn it off. Plus, back at the condo, it just starts randomly honking. Kind of eerie, and I smell some money being spent tomorrow.
