Dial 3 for 3D
The Filmhouse pulled off another blinder tonight when it screened Alfred Hitchcock's restored and remastered Dial M for Murder in glorious Eastman Colorand 3D!
Not a classic Hitchcock thriller but a tight detective story set in one room, but the Master played with the 3D like a kid at Christmas - getting you fully immersed from the opening titles right to the closing scenes.
'3d - It's a nine-day wonder, and I came in on the ninth day.”
Highly recommended and look out for key lighting on Grace Kelly lighting her face while emphasising her jaw line.
The cinematographer Robert Burks must have loved her
* there's a nice piece about the film here.
