Punk Robin
I was glad I'd picked up the camera and got a shot of the robin because the rest of the day was busy.
I say busy but, I can't really say what busy is these days. Life slows down. We were expecting a visitor to come and collect our huge Victorian mahogany dining table. That meant our new flat-packed table had to come out of the hall and into the lounge. Other things which live in the hall needed to be moved.
After tea we tilted the table top and negotiated into the hall, then into the kitchen. That's the room closest to the road. Ding dong! The fellow and, thankfully, his dad arrived. 4 of us tried to get the table out of the kitchen door. The table wasn't going out. Since the table was brought in 40 years ago, we have fitted a new door and a breakfast bar. Rethink!
We all maneuvered the table back out of the kitchen and back into the hall. The table went out easily through the front door and the fellow drove his lorry round to the lane end. Success!
Now to put the legs on the new table and pack for a trip tomorrow.
Oh, the reason for us parting with a table that had been in the family for over 100 years - we need more space.
