Gale Force

Winds gusting to 56 mph for most of the day but in the late afternoon the wind dropped to a mere 44mph so we caught a short walk in the park.  Rather than 'fluttering and dancing in the breeze' the first brave daffodils to open were already flattened by the gale. These alder catkins were dancing in away from the perpendicular in the wind.
