An Old Post

A mostly lazy morning…I did make a pot of soup for lunch as I was being joined by MC and the wee one..and put a load in the washing machine. The wee one wasn’t hungry so after we’d eaten we went to the beach for a treasure hunt…it was blowin’ a hoolie and the sand was yet again being blasted from one end of the beach to the other. The wee one and I just went round the block and left MC to his collecting, he ate a bowl of soup once home after some negotiations! It was lentil and bacon…he just liked tomato, so I told him it had tomatoes in it. He wanted red soup, I said orange is made with red. He asked if it had chicken in, I said no it had bacon…he didn’t like bacon so I told him I was just kidding! What else was in it…potatoes. Was it potatoes that he liked…just ordinary ones, then I remembered the sweet potato…this swung the persuasion and also accounted for the colour…a few minutes later the dish was empty! We then got to share a bag of popcorn. 

The pair of them left mid afternoon and I got two birthday cards ready to post so had a walk around the block to the post box before taking my glass collection to the bottle bank at the end of the road…thankfully the hoolie had calmed somewhat by this time. A couple of kids cards made when I got home and a third prepped ready to put together. Tea was leftovers so just needed reheating.

My blip was found on the beach, a remnant of an old pier…it appears to be taking a life of its own! An extra showing how much the sand was being blasted.
