Perennials
I finished last night’s crochet project to create this bunch of tulips for a friend‘s birthday.
It’s the end of half term and whilst it hasn’t been exactly relaxing, it has been quite productive.
Last weekend I sorted Bex‘s bedroom. This has been a task needing to be done for a long time as she wants to get some ‘stuff’ back from her room at uni and needed space to be able to do this; mum to the rescue.
Monday and Tuesday I was back in school. We moved the office last week into our newly refurbished office so everything needed putting away finding new homes etc etc. I got a little bit of other admin work done but not much. It was mostly putting away, unpacking and tidying.
Wednesday was my most relaxing day catching up with a friend for a walk and a chat. I took the cat to the vet in the afternoon for a blood test; she’s a bit of a minx and objects to it but whilst it took thrre people, they did manage to get the necessary blood out of her. The result was good; she suffers from hypothyroidism but the meds are obviously working as her levels are down from 133 to 20 (normal).
On Thursday Alex and I went into London and starting off at the Tower of London and then onto the Science Museum. We then met up with Bex to view a room in flat; she didn’t get it but it gives an idea of what’s available at what cost.
On Friday I went into London again and did a bit of shopping and went to ENO’s production of Pirates of Penzance.
Yesterday and today has mainly involved lots of household jobs, cleaning, tidying, baking. Having had mum to the rescue to sort her room, it’s dad to the rescue today as K has gone into London to Bex’s to collect stuff to bring back.
Anyway, that’s my half term done onwards and upwards…
